Comfort Idowu Kumuyi Akinfenwa gave birth to William Folorunso Kumuyi on June 6, 1941, at Erin-Ijesha, Osun State. She also lived in the Ijebu Northeast Council of Ogun State, where she trained her son, Williams Kumuyi. She’s survived by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Mrs Comfort Idowu Kumuyi Akinfenwa is the mother of Pastor Kumuyi. Born on June 6, 1941, at Erin-Ijesha, Osun State, Kumuyi was raised in Orunwa, in the Ijebu Northeast Council of Ogun State. Williams Kumuyi, who after completing his primary school education at Orunwa and Owu-Ikija, Ogun State, further attended the famous Mayflower School in Ikenne. William Kumuyi later attended the University of Ibadan and graduated as the overall best student with a first-class honors degree in Mathematics sometime in 1967.
William Folorunso Kumuyi is also one of Africa’s most renowned televangelists and has authored several Christian books and devotionals. He took a postgraduate course in education at the University of Lagos. Kumuyi started his teaching career in 1962, where he taught mathematics at Mayflower School, his alma mater. In the early 1970s, he went on to become a lecturer of mathematics at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
Williams Kumuyi is the founder of The Deeper Life Church Worldwide. The Deeper Christian Life Ministry’s headquarters is located in Gbagada, Lagos. The church’s HQ auditorium could seat up to over 30,000 worshippers.
The church founder has been a blessing to hundreds of thousands across the globe. He has impacted the lives of many, both old and young. His sermons have transformed the lives of his followers. The holiness preacher has over a thousand beaches across Nigeria, Africa, and the world. He is the Chancellor of Anchor University, Lagos.
W.F. Kumuyi is married to Esther Kumuyi. He was previously married to Abiodun Kumuyi. He has two children, Jeremiah and John Kumuyi –husband of Love Odih Kumuyi.
