Mountain Top University is known as one of Nigeria’s finest private universities. This is a private university located in Makogi Oba, Ogun State, Nigeria. It came into existence in 2015. The educational institution is affiliated with the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, a Pentecostal Christian denomination in Nigeria with branches across the globe. Mountain Top University was founded by Dr. D.K. Olukoya. He’s the founder of MFM Ministries worldwide.

1. Benjamin Babalola

Benjamin Babalola is an alumnus of Mountain Top University. He graduated from the university at the age of 22 with a first class degree.Babalola was admitted into the University of Lagos Foundation Programme for Medicine and Surgery in 2015. After the final examination, he wasn’t admitted into the Medicine and Surgery programme. Even though he had the requisite points for admission into the 200-level Direct Entry programme, he was offered Physiology, which he wasn’t ready to settle for, so he later proceeded to MTU.

Babalola was a recipient of the DKO Foundation Scholarship. He was the President of the Nigerian Association of Biochemistry Students, Mountain Top University Chapter. He was a member of the university’s orchestra as the clarinetist, and he also functioned as a pianist.

2. Daniella Oluseyi

Daniella Oluseyi is an alumna of Mountain Top University (MTU). She was also a first-class graduate of the university. She graduated from the university at the age of 20. The Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, in 2021, reportedly awarded her a N1 million gift and immediate employment as the best graduating student at the institution. She was the recipient of Mrs. Olukoya’s prize for the overall best graduating student.

3. Aminu Akinyele

Aminu Akinyele, at the age of 18, graduated with a first-class degree from Mountain Top University. The alumnus graduated from the Department of English with a CGPA of 4.63.

Akinyele started school early. He went through all the classes until he got to primary school, where he was given a double promotion from primary two to primary four. He had a complete secondary education and gained admission to the university at 14 – the same year I left secondary school. Prior to his university education, he did his primary education at POWA International School in Abuja before he proceeded to secondary education at Command Secondary School, Kaduna State.

Akinyele was unable to gain admission to the University of Ilorin, where he would have studied law. Therefore, he opted for Mountain Top University that same year to study law, but the course was not available at Mountain Top University then, so he decided to study English.

The Mountain Top University alumnus was a recipient of the D.K.O. Foundation Scholarship. He was also the first runner-up in the 2019 edition of the Nigeria Debate Society competition.

During his undergraduate days, he served as the Students’ Representative Council press secretary, General Secretary of the National Association of English and Literary Studies, and Students’ Representative on the Ceremony and Honours Committee, et cetera.

4. Omonigho Edafe Michael

Omonigho Edafe, Michael, is a writer and accountant. He’s also a first-class graduate of Mountain Top University. He’s from Delta State. He attended government secondary school Karu and junior secondary school Jikwoyi.

5. Jeremiah Akintomide

At the age of 19, Jeremiah Akintomide graduated with a first-class bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Mountain Top University, Ogun State
